The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) and the host William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA), observed Dan River's basketball team overwhelm William Campbell by a score of 70-40.
The Wildcats (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Bassett (Bassett, VA). The Bengals come into the non-league challenge with a 4-9 record. In their last challenge, Bassett was routed by Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA), 68-52, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Generals encounter the Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 23. William Campbell will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Fighting Blues come into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 71-38 league win over Highland (Monterey, VA).
