The Desert Heights Prep Yote (Glendale, AZ) basketball crushed the host North Phoenix Preparatory Academy Gladiators (Phoenix, AZ), 59-37 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Yote now possess a 8-3 record. They play next when they travel to Phoenix Day School for the Deaf for a 1A West bout on Friday, January 24. Desert Heights Prep will play a Roadrunners team coming off a 61-34 league loss to Maryvale Prep (Phoenix, AZ). The Roadrunners record now stands at 3-12.

With the loss, North Phoenix Preparatory Academy falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Gladiators travel to Sequoia Pathway Academy (Maricopa, AZ) to play the Pumas in a 1A West bout on Thursday, January 23. The Pumas go into the bout with a record of 2-8. Sequoia Pathway Academy lost 80-26 in their recent league bout against Antelope (Wellton, AZ)
