Next, the Mustangs encounter the Littlefield Wildcats (Littlefield, TX) in a 3A Region I District 2 test, on Friday, January 24. Shallowater will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the test with a 16-7 record after their 52-47 league loss to Slaton (Slaton, TX).

The Bobcats (8-14) will now prepare for their test against Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX). The Mules come into the 3A Region I District 2 test with a 1-11 record.
