Virginia High School Basketball - Fleming overwhelms Staunton River

The Fleming Colonels basketball team scored 64 points and limited the visiting Staunton River Golden Eagles to 33 in the Colonels league triumph on Tuesday.
The Colonels now have a 10-5 record. They play next when they host Patrick Henry for a non-league game on Thursday, January 23. Fleming will confront a Patriots team coming off a 77-43 league win over Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 9-3.
With the loss, Staunton River falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Golden eagles host Liberty (Bedford, VA) to confront the Minutemen in a non-league game on Wednesday, January 22. The Minutemen go into the game with a record of 3-8. Liberty lost 58-57 in their recent league game against Rustburg (Rustburg, VA)
