In Tuesday's league test, the Mahtomedi Zephyrs (Mahtomedi, MN) basketball squad trounced the host Hill-Murray Pioneers (Maplewood, MN), by a score of 65-42.
Next, the Zephyrs encounter the Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN) in a non-league test, on Thursday, January 23. Mahtomedi will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Spartans come into the test with a 4-10 record after their 62-50 non-league loss to Roosevelt (Minneapolis, MN).
The Pioneers (4-9) will now prepare for their test against Two Rivers (Mendota Heights, MN). The Warriors come into the non-league test with a 6-10 record. In their last test, Two Rivers was routed by North (North St. Paul, MN), 69-59, in a non-league test.
