Rhode Island High School Basketball - Hope holds off Ponaganset

In Tuesday's league contest, the host Hope Blue Wave basketball team scored a close 83-82 triumph over the Ponaganset Chieftains.

The Blue Wave (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Blackstone Valley Prep (Cumberland, RI). The PRIDE go into the Division III contest with a 0-11 record. In their last contest, Blackstone Valley Prep was tipped by Times Squared Academy (Providence, RI), 85-43, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Chieftains confront the Paul Cuffee (Providence, RI) in a Division III contest, on Thursday, January 23. Ponaganset will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The go into the contest with a 3-6 record after their 63-60 league loss to Providence Country Day (East Providence, RI).
