In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Watertown-Mayer Royals basketball team scored a close 74-67 triumph over the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Lakers.
The Royals (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Litchfield (Litchfield, MN). The Dragons go into the non-league contest with a 5-11 record.
In their next game, the Lakers confront the Annandale Cardinals (Annandale, MN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 24. Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record.
