The Solon Spartans basketball team scored 67 points and limited the host Independence Mustangs to 51 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Spartans now possess a 8-5 record. They play next when they host Mt. Vernon for a WAMAC - East game on Friday, January 24.
With the loss, Independence falls to 7-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA) to confront the Stormin' Pointers in a WAMAC - West game on Friday, January 24. The Stormin' Pointers go into the game with a record of 7-6. Center Point-Urbana won 56-36 in their recent non-league game against West Delaware (Manchester, IA)
