The Northside Rams basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers to 67 in the Rams league triumph on Tuesday.

The Rams now possess a 17-6 record. They play next when they travel to Pickens Academy for a non-league game on Thursday, January 23. Northside will confront a Pirates team coming off a 77-19 league loss to South Lamar (Millport, AL). The Pirates record now stands at 0-9.

With the loss, John Carroll Catholic falls to 10-14 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Sipsey Valley (Buhl, AL) to confront the Bears in a 5A Area 9 game on Friday, January 24. The Bears go into the game with a record of 8-13. Sipsey Valley lost 82-63 in their recent non-league game against Hale County (Moundville, AL)
