In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Junction City Dragons basketball team scored a close 56-50 win over the Magnet Cove Panthers.
The Dragons (14-3) will now prepare for their contest against Nevada (Rosston, AR). The Blue Jays come into the non-league contest with a 18-6 record. In their last contest, Nevada edged Mineral Springs (Mineral Springs, AR), 68-48, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Fordyce Redbugs (Fordyce, AR) in a 2A Region 8 contest, on Friday, January 24. Magnet Cove will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Redbugs come into the contest with a 9-3 record after their 63-56 league win over Hampton (Hampton, AR).
