With the victory, West Ouachita advances its record to 18-9 on the year. The Chiefs host Georgetown (Georgetown, LA) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Thursday, January 23. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 20-6. Georgetown won 49-17 in their recent league match against Sicily Island (Sicily Island, LA)

The Flyers now own a 8-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southwood for a 4A District 1 match on Friday, January 24. Loyola College Prep will face a Cowboys squad coming off a 60-41 non-league loss to Lincoln Prep (Grambling, LA). The Cowboys record now stands at 5-12.
