The Mapleton Sailors (Mapleton, OR) basketball were winner over the visiting McKenzie Eagles (Finn Rock, OR), 48-28 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Sailors now possess a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to Mohawk for a 1A Mountain West bout on Thursday, January 23. Mapleton will play a Mustangs team coming off a 52-18 league loss to Eddyville (Eddyville, OR). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-10.
With the loss, McKenzie falls to 5-13 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Alsea (Alsea, OR) to play the Wolverines in a 1A Mountain West bout on Thursday, January 23. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Alsea won 64-59 in their recent league bout against Triangle Lake (Blachly, OR)
