The Panthers (19-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Frenship (Wolfforth, TX). The Tigers come into the 6A Region I District 2 challenge with a 19-7 record. In their last challenge, Frenship trounced Odessa (Odessa, TX), 70-49, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the San Angelo Central Bobcats (San Angelo, TX) in a 6A Region I District 2 challenge, on Friday, January 24. Midland will attempt to improve on its 10-18 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 21-7 record after their 85-60 league win over Midland Legacy (Midland, TX).
