In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Thurston Colts basketball team scored a big 80-39 triumph over the Springfield Millers.

The Colts (13-3) will now prepare for their contest against Churchill (Eugene, OR). The Lancers go into the 5A Midwestern contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Churchill smashed Crater (Central Point, OR), 69-44, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Millers battle the Ashland Grizzlies (Ashland, OR) in a 5A Midwestern contest, on Friday, January 24. Springfield will attempt to better on its 0-13 season record. The Grizzlies go into the contest with a 8-7 record after their 73-60 league win over North Eugene (Eugene, OR).
