The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the West Liberty Comets (West Liberty, IA) and the host Tipton Tigers (Tipton, IA), observed West Liberty's basketball team knock off Tipton by a score of 56-47.

The Comets (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA). The Golden Hawks come into the River Valley challenge with a 12-2 record. In their last challenge, Mid-Prairie prevailed over West Branch (West Branch, IA), 72-56, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Wilton Beavers (Wilton, IA) in a River Valley challenge, on Friday, January 24. Tipton will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record.
