In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Grants Pirates basketball team scored a big 54-11 win over the Valencia Jaguars.
The Pirates (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM). The Sartans come into the non-league contest with a 7-1 record. In their last contest, St. Pius X smashed Belen (Belen, NM), 60-36, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Jaguars battle the St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Valencia will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record.
