Hume Hornets (Hume, MO) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Chilhowee Indians (Chilhowee, MO), 40-39 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Hume advances its record to 3-4 on the year. The Hornets travel to Miami (Amoret, MO) to face the Eagles in a Golden Valley Vernon match on Monday, February 3. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 2-3.

The Indians now own a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Stover for a non-league match on Thursday, January 23. Chilhowee will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 54-10 non-league win over Sacred Heart (Sedalia, MO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-1.
