The Christoval Cougars (Christoval, TX) basketball toppled the visiting Ozona Lions (Ozona, TX), 49-32 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 23-7 record. They play next when they host Sterling City for a 2A Region I District 7 bout on Friday, January 24. Christoval will play a Eagles team coming off a 26-11 league win over Reagan County (Big Lake, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 14-9.

With the loss, Ozona falls to 22-7 on the campaign. The Lions host Sonora (Sonora, TX) to play the Broncos in a 2A Region I District 7 bout on Friday, January 24. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 17-6. Sonora won 58-51 in their recent league bout against Forsan (Forsan, TX)
