The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) and the host Clarksdale Wildcats (Clarksdale, MS), observed Pontotoc's basketball team overwhelm Clarksdale by a score of 61-24.
The Warriors (16-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Corinth (Corinth, MS). The Warriors come into the 5A Region 1 challenge with a 1-16 record. In their last challenge, Corinth was routed by West Point (West Point, MS), 45-32, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) in a 5A Region 1 challenge, on Friday, January 24. Clarksdale will attempt to improve on its 7-12 season record.
