The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS) and the host Corinth Warriors (Corinth, MS), observed West Point's basketball team knock off Corinth by a score of 45-32.
The Green Wave (5-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Lafayette (Oxford, MS). The Commodores come into the 5A Region 1 challenge with a 11-9 record.
In their next game, the Warriors encounter the Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) in a 5A Region 1 challenge, on Friday, January 24. Corinth will attempt to improve on its 1-16 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 16-4 record after their 61-24 league win over Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS).
