Rhode Island High School Basketball - Cranston West trounced by Ponaganset

Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Cranston West Falcons (Cranston, RI), 76-49 in a league match.

With the victory, Ponaganset advances its record to 12-1 on the year. The Chieftains host Classical (Providence, RI) to encounter the Purple in a Division I challenge on Friday, January 24. The Purple come into the challenge with a record of 1-9. Classical lost 57-53 in their recent league challenge against Tolman/Shea (Pawtucket, RI)

In their next game, the Falcons encounter the Barrington Eagles (Barrington, RI) in a Division I challenge, on Friday, January 24. Cranston West will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 44-37 league win over Moses Brown (Providence, RI).
