In Tuesday's league contest, the host Lone Star Rangers basketball team scored a close 36-31 win over the Creekview Mustangs.

The Rangers (11-15) will now prepare for their contest against Reedy (Frisco, TX). The Lions come into the 5A Region II District 12 contest with a 19-12 record. In their last contest, Reedy was tipped by The Colony (The Colony, TX), 43-39, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Turner Lions (Carrollton, TX) in a 5A Region II District 12 contest, on Friday, January 24. Creekview will attempt to better on its 14-8 season record. The Lions come into the contest with a 2-19 record after their 58-13 league loss to Highland Park (Dallas, TX).
