The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Dardanelle Sand Lizards (Dardanelle, AR) and the visiting Mena Bearcats (Mena, AR), observed Dardanelle's basketball team overcome Mena by a margin of 50-39.

The Sand Lizards (11-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Clarksville (Clarksville, AR). The Panthers come into the 4A Region 4 challenge with a 7-13 record. In their last challenge, Clarksville dropped by Waldron (Waldron, AR), 53-42, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bearcats battle the Ozark Hillbillies (Ozark, AR) in a 4A Region 4 challenge, on Friday, January 24. Mena will attempt to better on its 3-13 season record. The Hillbillies come into the challenge with a 6-15 record after their 44-31 league loss to Pottsville (Pottsville, AR).
