The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Shallowater Mustangs (Shallowater, TX) and the host Dimmitt Bobcats (Dimmitt, TX), observed Shallowater's basketball team overwhelm Dimmitt by a score of 83-33.

The Mustangs (18-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Littlefield (Littlefield, TX). The Wildcats come into the 3A Region I District 2 challenge with a 17-10 record. In their last challenge, Littlefield trounced Slaton (Slaton, TX), 39-23, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bobcats encounter the Muleshoe Mules (Muleshoe, TX) in a 3A Region I District 2 challenge, on Friday, January 24. Dimmitt will attempt to improve on its 9-15 season record. The Mules come into the challenge with a 5-19 record after their 49-30 league loss to Roosevelt (Lubbock, TX).
