In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Douglas Trojans basketball team scored a close 34-30 win over the Rogue River Chieftains.

The Trojans (2-14) will now prepare for their contest against Glide (Glide, OR). The Wildcats come into the 3A Far West contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Glide edged South Umpqua (Myrtle Creek, OR), 42-26, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Chieftains battle the North Valley Knights (Grants Pass, OR) in a 3A Southern Oregon contest, on Friday, January 24. Rogue River will attempt to better on its 2-13 season record. The Knights come into the contest with a 7-10 record after their 48-24 league loss to Coquille (Coquille, OR).
