The Roby Lions nipped the visiting Ira Bulldogs basketball squad by a final score of 44-43 in Tuesday's league outing.
Next, the Lions face the Highland Hornets (Roscoe, TX) in a 1A Region II District 14 outing, on Friday, January 24. Roby will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Hornets enter the outing with a 9-13 record after their 33-29 league loss to Ira (Ira, TX).
The Bulldogs (16-11) will now prepare for their outing against Westbrook (Westbrook, TX). The Wildcats enter the 1A Region II District 14 outing with a 25-1 record. In their last outing, Westbrook was nipped by Hermleigh (Hermleigh, TX), 48-41, in a league outing.
