The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Lathrop Malemutes (Fairbanks, AK) and the host West Valley Wolf Pack (Fairbanks, AK), observed Lathrop's basketball team overwhelm West Valley by a score of 47-9.
The Malemutes (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Barrow (Utqiagvik, AK). The Whalers come into the non-league challenge with a 6-2 record. In their last challenge, Barrow trounced Bettye Davis East Anchorage (Anchorage, AK), 66-10, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Wolf Pack battle the Soldotna Stars (Soldotna, AK) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 23. West Valley will attempt to improve on its 0-10 season record. The Stars come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 65-26 league loss to Mountain City Christian Academy (Anchorage, AK).
