Arizona High School Basketball - Mica Mountain toppled by Walden Grove

Walden Grove Red Wolves (Sahuarita, AZ) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Mica Mountain Thunderbolts (Tucson, AZ), 63-55 in a league match.

With the victory, Walden Grove upgrades its record to 13-8 on the year. The Red Wolves travel to Salpointe Catholic (Tucson, AZ) to face the Lancers in a 4A Kino match on Monday, January 27. The Lancers enter the match with a record of 16-4. Salpointe Catholic won 65-53 in their recent non-league match against Millennium (Goodyear, AZ)

The Thunderbolts now sport a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ironwood Ridge for a 4A Kino match on Thursday, January 23. Mica Mountain will face a Nighthawks squad coming off a 41-35 league loss to Sahuaro (Tucson, AZ). The Nighthawks record now stands at 9-11.
