In Tuesday's league contest, the host St. Francis Fighting Saints basketball team scored a close 54-49 triumph over the North Branch Vikings.
The Fighting Saints (8-9) will now prepare for their contest against Princeton (Princeton, MN). The Tigers go into the AAA Section 5 contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Princeton nipped Zimmerman (Zimmerman, MN), 71-67, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Vikings battle the Big Lake Hornets (Big Lake, MN) in a AAA Section 5 contest, on Tuesday, January 28. North Branch will attempt to better on its 10-8 season record. The Hornets enter the battle with a 0-6 record after their 68-27 league loss to Monticello (Monticello, MN).
