The North Cross Raiders nipped the visiting Roanoke Catholic Celtics basketball squad by a final score of 47-45 in Tuesday's league outing.
Next, the Raiders face the New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, January 23. North Cross will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Gryphons enter the outing with a 10-4 record after their 37-35 non-league win over Westover Christian Academy (Danville, VA).
The Celtics (3-8) will now prepare for their outing against Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA). The Wildcats enter the non-league outing with a 6-7 record. In their last outing, Rockbridge County got by William Monroe (Stanardsville, VA), 37-23, in a league outing.
