The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers (St. Johnsbury, VT) and the visiting Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT), observed St. Johnsbury Academy's basketball team overcome Essex by a margin of 40-28.
The Hilltoppers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Woodsville (Woodsville, NH). The Engineers come into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Hornets battle the Mt. Mansfield Cougars (Jericho, VT) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 23. Essex will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
