The Orange County Fighting Hornets basketball team scored 53 points and limited the host Monticello Mustangs to 28 in the Fighting Hornets league triumph on Tuesday.

The Fighting Hornets now have a 6-5 record. They play next when they host Charlottesville for a game on Thursday, January 23. Orange County will confront a Black Knights team coming off a 40-29 non-league loss to Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Black Knights record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Monticello falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Brookville (Lynchburg, VA) to confront the Bees in a non-league game on Wednesday, January 22. The Bees go into the game with a record of 5-4. Brookville lost 52-31 in their recent non-league game against Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA)
