In Tuesday's non-league test, the Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) basketball squad defeated the host Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA), by a final score of 60-42.
Next, the Mustangs clash with the Goochland Bulldogs (Goochland, VA) in a non-league test, on Friday, January 24. Monticello will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the test with a 4-6 record after their 53-22 non-league loss to Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA).
The Fighting Hornets (6-3) will now prepare for their test against Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA). The Black Knights come into the non-league test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Charlottesville overcame Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA), 58-40, in a non-league test.
