Fans at Sunday's non-league challenge between the Takoma Academy Tigers (Takoma Park, MD) and the visiting Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD), saw Takoma Academy's basketball squad overcome Our Lady of Good Counsel by a tally of 72-63.

With the victory, Takoma Academy improves its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The Tigers host Lanham Christian (Lanham, MD) to confront the Lions in a Maryland Independent challenge on Monday, January 23. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 4-5.

Next up, the Falcons confront the Gonzaga Eagles (Washington, DC) in a DCSAA AA challenge, on Wednesday, January 25. Our Lady of Good Counsel will attempt to improve on its 12-8 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 18-1 record after their 91-60 non-league win over Saint John Paul the Great Catholic (Dumfries, VA).
