Bladensburg Mustangs (Bladensburg, MD) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host High Point Eagles (Beltsville, MD), 50-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bladensburg upgrades its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Flowers (Springdale, MD) to play the Jaguars in a Prince George's County 4A bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 9-4. Flowers won 84-33 in their recent league bout against Northwestern (Hyattsville, MD)

Next up, the Eagles play the Wise Pumas (Upper Marlboro, MD) in a Prince George's County 4A bout, on Tuesday, January 23. High Point will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Pumas come into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 91-48 league win over Parkdale (Riverdale, MD).
