Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings (Decorah, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Charles City Comets (Charles City, IA), 88-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Decorah-North Winneshiek upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to New Hampton (New Hampton, IA) to clash with the Chickasaws in a Northeast Iowa bout on Friday, January 26. The Chickasaws go into the bout with a record of 1-12.

Next up, the Comets clash with the Forest City Indians (Forest City, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Charles City will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 71-59 non-league win over Eagle Grove (Eagle Grove, IA).
