The Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA) basketball nipped the host Christiansburg Blue Demons (Christiansburg, VA), 58-52 in Monday's non-league test.
The Golden Eagles (7-8) will now prepare for their test against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers go into the Blue Ridge test with a 7-7 record. In their last test, Lord Botetourt was tipped by Northside (Roanoke, VA), 74-59, in a league test.
The Blue Demons now own a 4-11 record. They play next when they travel to Liberty for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 24.
