Dresden Lions (Dresden, TN) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lake County Falcons (Tiptonville, TN), 51-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Dresden upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Lions host Gleason (Gleason, TN) to play the Bulldogs in a 1A District 14 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 10-6. Gleason lost 66-44 in their recent league bout against South Fulton (South Fulton, TN)

Next up, the Falcons play the Greenfield Yellowjackets (Greenfield, TN) in a 1A District 14 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Lake County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 86-42 league loss to Union City (Union City, TN).
