The Unity Christian Lions (Rome, GA) basketball knocked off the host Excel Christian Academy Eagles (Cartersville, GA), 57-49 in Monday's league test.
The Lions (10-9) will now prepare for their test against Oakwood Christian (Chickamauga, GA). The Eagles go into the GAPPS - I-A Region 1A test with a 4-16 record. In their last test, Oakwood Christian went down by Berean Academy (Hixson, TN), 58-35, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 5-15 record. They play next when they host The King's Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 23. Excel Christian Academy will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 80-49 non-league win over Cornerstone Prep Academy (Acworth, GA). The Knights record now stands at 10-7.
