The Jefferson County Tigers basketball team (Fayette, MS), was nudged 84-81 in Monday's league battle with the host Franklin County Bulldogs (Meadville, MS)
The Bulldogs now possess a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wesson for a 3A Region 7 battle on Friday, January 26. Franklin County will confront a Cobras team coming off a 77-56 league loss to South Pike (Magnolia, MS). The Cobras record now stands at 3-17.
The Tigers (8-10) will now prepare for their battle against Port Gibson (Port Gibson, MS). The Blue Waves come into the 3A Region 7 battle with a 12-11 record. In their last battle, Port Gibson edged South Pike (Magnolia, MS), 54-45, in a league battle.
