The Meade County Green Waves (Brandenburg, KY) basketball crushed the visiting Hancock County Hornets (Lewisport, KY), 71-35 in Monday's league test.

The Green Waves (7-9) will now prepare for their test against Daviess County (Owensboro, KY). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 14-4 record. In their last test, Daviess County was trounced by Owensboro (Owensboro, KY), 74-68, in a league test.

The Hornets now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Whitefield Academy for a non-league test on Thursday, January 25. Hancock County will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 77-31 non-league loss to Highlands Latin (Louisville, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-10.
