The Stuarts Draft Cougars (Stuarts Draft, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Luray Bulldogs (Luray, VA), 61-56 in Monday's non-league test.
The Cougars (11-3) will now prepare for their test against Riverheads (Staunton, VA). The Gladiators go into the Shenandoah test with a 5-12 record. In their last test, Riverheads was tipped by Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA), 46-44, in a league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Madison County for a Bull Run test on Tuesday, January 23. Luray will encounter a Mountaineers squad coming off a 74-53 league win over Rappahannock County (Washington, VA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 9-5.
