Marty Indian Braves (Marty, SD) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Omaha Nation Chiefs (Macy, NE), 86-73 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Marty Indian upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Braves host Santee (Santee, NE) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 8-4.

Next up, the Chiefs play the Wakpala Sioux (Wakpala, SD) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 25. Omaha Nation will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Sioux go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 76-62 non-league loss to Little Wound (Kyle, SD).
