University Heights Blazers (Hopkinsville, KY) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting McCracken County Mustangs (Paducah, KY), 70-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, University Heights upgrades its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Blazers host Christian County (Hopkinsville, KY) to play the Colonels in a District 8 bout on Friday, January 26. The Colonels come into the bout with a record of 5-11.

Next up, the Mustangs play the St. Mary Vikings (Paducah, KY) in a District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. McCracken County will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 70-32 non-league win over Century (Ullin, IL).
