Northwest House (Seattle, WA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting University Prep Pumas (Seattle, WA), 60-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Northwest upgrades its record to 8-10 on the campaign. The House travel to Summit Sierra (Seattle, WA) to play the Spartans in a 1A Emerald Sound bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 0-3. Summit Sierra lost 79-37 in their recent league bout against Granite Falls (Granite Falls, WA)

Next up, the Pumas play the Granite Falls Tigers (Granite Falls, WA) in a 1A Emerald Sound bout, on Wednesday, January 24. University Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 59-44 non-league loss to Mount Vernon Christian (Mount Vernon, WA).
