Kentucky High School Basketball - Owsley County ripped by Powell County

The Powell County Pirates basketball team scored 77 points and held the host Owsley County Owls / Lady Owls to 55 in the Pirates league triumph on Monday.
The Pirates now sport a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lee County for a District 56 contest on Wednesday, January 24. Powell County will meet a Bobcats team coming off a 65-63 non-league loss to Leslie County (Hyden, KY). The Bobcats record now stands at 7-10.
The Owls / Lady Owls (5-15) will now prepare for their contest against Letcher County Central (Whitesburg, KY). The Cougars / Lady Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 11-7 record. In their last contest, Letcher County Central triumphed over Cordia (Hazard, KY), 71-68, in a league contest.
