Van Meter Bulldogs (Van Meter, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Panorama Panthers (Panora, IA), 68-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Van Meter upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Bulldogs host West Central Valley (Stuart, IA) to play the Wildcats in a West Central bout on Friday, January 26. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-8. West Central Valley lost 63-47 in their recent league bout against Woodward-Granger (Woodward, IA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Madrid Tigers (Madrid, IA) in a West Central bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Panorama will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 12-3 record after their 82-33 non-league win over Nodaway Valley (Greenfield, IA).
