Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Washington County Commanders (Springfield, KY) and the visiting Thomas Nelson Generals (Bardstown, KY), saw Washington County's basketball squad wallop Thomas Nelson by a tally of 76-49.

With the victory, Washington County improves its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Commanders travel to Marion County (Lebanon, KY) to confront the Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 3-12.

Next up, the Generals confront the Bardstown Tigers (Bardstown, KY) in a District 19 challenge, on Wednesday, January 24. Thomas Nelson will attempt to improve on its 2-14 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 8-10 record after their 75-74 non-league loss to Seneca (Louisville, KY).
