Iowa High School Basketball - Washington topped by Waterloo West

The Waterloo West Wahawks basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the host Washington Warriors to 49 in the Wahawks league victory on Monday.
The Wahawks now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Iowa City West for a Mississippi Valley contest on Tuesday, January 23. Waterloo West will battle a Trojans team coming off a 52-47 league win over Linn-Mar (Marion, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 10-1.
The Warriors (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against Hempstead (Dubuque, IA). The Mustangs come into the Mississippi Valley contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Hempstead prevailed over Davenport Central (Davenport, IA), 62-59, in a non-league contest.
