Hilmar Yellowjackets (Hilmar, CA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Escalon Cougars (Escalon, CA), 49-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Hilmar upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Riverbank (Riverbank, CA) to play the Bruins in a bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 2-10. Riverbank lost 40-36 in their recent league bout against Ripon Christian (Ripon, CA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Ripon Indians (Ripon, CA) in a bout, on Thursday, February 1. Escalon will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record.
